Finally! ----- LONG

I finally get this up! LOL!! I've been wanting to blog for quite awhile now since we got the net connection back after a 3 year hiatus but I was always busy with something. Yes, it's excuses after excuses. Now I don't want to create more excuses. I just want to get it done so that I can tell the world how I feel when I feel like it. Haha! Be prepared for the arrival of The Contradicting B.I.T.C.H. ! =P

A couple of stuff have taken my attention away from my kids and housework. Yes, I know, I'm irresponsible, blah blah blah but hey! The ills of the net and the massive info I can find is truly addicting! You see, I've recently re-introduced myself to crochet. I learnt crochet from my paternal grandma (who's still alive by the way!) but I forgot all about it the moment I went to secondary school. I've been wanting to pick it up since I became a mom but no one I knew crochet or knit. Yes, I could ask my grandma to teach me again but she has aged so much that I thought I'd better seek someone else who's memories are still fresh! LOL!!

So here comes my sister-in-law (she moved in with us a few months back) who told me that she knew how to crochet and yes, you guessed it! I bugged her to teach me! LOL!! So I already knew how to create chains but how do I carry on from there? Then she taught me double crochet as my first crochet stitch and from there, I borrowed books from the library and scoured the net for more info on crocheting. So what have I learnt from all my research and reading? Well, I'd be ashamed to say that I only know single crochet, double crochet, triple crochet and working in circles at the moment. And this is because I surf too much looking for nice patterns to work on. Haha! I currently have a long personal To-Do list but I've had to set them aside for the Christmas To-Do list.

And you know what? To add to all these madness, I found out about Amigurumi. What is Amigurumi you say? Amigurumi means knitted or crocheted doll/s in Japanese. They're really very adorable! Want to know more? Check these out :

Are they enough to whet your appetite? Didn't you just died of ultimate cuteness?!?! LOL!! Can you now understand why I spend so much time online? I've been surfing and surfing to find cutesy amigurumi patterns to crochet for my Es and myself! What?! Do one and give it to you? NO WAY !!! You would have to learn to crochet one yourself! Haha!!! I'll only do them as gifts for the fortunate ones. And my works of art? Well, look around my blog for the links. ;)

Time is short. It took me a long time to finally get this post up! You know how it's like being a mom. You get distracted with a thousand and one things every now and then. It interrupts your train of thoughts. Now that's what happens when you want to blog. When you don't want to blog, nothing happens. It's all quiet and peaceful. Hahaha! That's life for you, I guess!
